Linkin Park have been announced as the second headline act for next year's Download Festival.

The American band will be playing their multi-platinum debut album Hybrid Theory in its entirety as part of their set.

They join Avenged Sevenfold who have been previously announced as headliners and Rob Zombie on the line-up.

Fall Out Boy will be the support act on the Saturday night on the main stage ahead of Linkin Park.

The festival takes place on the weekend of the 13-15 June at Donington Park in Leicestershire.

The band's lead singer Chester Bennington told festival organisers: "We have been kicking around the idea of playing Hybrid Theory for some time and the perfect opportunity is Download 2014."
