Jane Lynch: Glee's Monteith tribute is 'most beautiful'
Jane Lynch has praised Glee's upcoming tribute episode for Cory Monteith.
The actress, who plays sports coach Sue Sylvester in the show, tweeted: "Just read Cory Monteith memorial episode. Most beautiful thing. Thank you, @MrRPMurphy @BFalchuk Ian Brennan."
Glee writer Ryan Murphy has confirmed that Finn Hudson will not die from a drug overdose in the episode.
Monteith, who played Finn from the start of the show in 2009, was found dead in July in a Vancouver hotel room.
An autopsy revealed the 31-year-old actor died of an overdose of heroin and alcohol.
Lynch, 53, recently told E! News that she wasn't expecting filming of the tribute episode to be easy.
"It's gonna be terrible. It has to be done but it's gonna be awful," she said.
At the Teen Choice Awards earlier this month Lea Michele, who was Monteith's girlfriend both on and off-screen, dedicated her Choice TV actress comedy award to her Glee co-star.
In her acceptance speech she said: "I wanted to dedicate this award to Cory for all of you out there who loved and admired Cory as much as I did."
She added the show's fans were "most certainly the greatest fans in the world" for their support following the actor's death.
The cast and crew of Glee held a private memorial for Monteith in July.
Glee will return for its fifth season in the US on 26 September with a two-part Beatles episode, followed by the tribute to Monteith.
