Swedish House Mafia's Steve Angello has replaced Beady Eye on the V Festival line-up.

Liam Gallagher's band cancelled their set at the festival after guitarist Gem Archer suffered a head injury.

The band were due to headline the 4Music stage at this weekend's event which takes place across two sites.

Angello has been moved up the bill to cover Beady Eye.

He was previously set to headline the smaller Arena Stage, Ocean Colour Scene will now take that slot.

Swedish House Mafia officially split up after their final appearance at the Ultra Music Festival on March 2013.

Beady Eye pulled out to allow Archer time to recover from a "severe head trauma".

A statement on their website says they are bowing out of all appearances in August because of his injury.

"The band apologise to fans but under the circumstances feel they can not perform without Gem and want to focus on supporting him," they said.

There are no more details of the accident, which took place on 1 August.

The statement continued: "Gem was released from hospital yesterday evening (Wednesday 7 August) and is recovering at home though remains under observation."
