Glee star Darren Criss to go on music tour in America
Glee star Darren Criss is to go on tour in America after the release of his first solo album.
The 26-year-old, who plays openly gay high school student Blaine Anderson in the US television series, will play in 16 cities across the US and Canada.
It starts in San Francisco on 29 May and ends on 30 June in Silver Spring, Maryland.
He released an EP in 2009 called Human, which sold 27,000 copies in America according to Nielsen SoundScan.
"I couldn't think of a better way to spend the summer than being on the road and doing live shows," the singer said in a statement.
"I wanted to do something bigger than what I've done before - more cities and new music.
"It's a real opportunity for me to connect with all the people who've supported me through the years, as well as a chance to get new folks excited.
"It's gonna be a party for everyone."
Fellow Glee star Matthew Morrison also launched a singing career in 2011 with the release of a self-titled solo album.
