Justin Young, front man with London rockers The Vaccines, has described the songs he's written with One Direction as "awesome".
Niall Horan from the boy band recently revealed that Young had been writing new music with the group.
Speaking to Newsbeat at the NME Awards Young said that his collaboration with the band had been "really exciting".
"It was a really interesting creative process, writing with pretty much the biggest pop band on the planet."
'Different world'Young added: "It was a very different world and very different process - that was one of the reasons I wanted to do it. I really enjoyed it."

"I felt like I took so much from doing it. I've always said I love pop music and how much I want to write pop music.
"It's the first time I've ever done anything like that. They do indeed contribute."
The Vaccines, who've released two studio albums, recently confirmed they're heading to the US in March to record a new EP which they would like to release in May.
