Beautiful Creatures cast: Twilight helped film get made

The cast of new supernatural teen film Beautiful Creatures say the success of Twilight helped to get their film made.

The movie is based on a series of books called The Castor Chronicles.

The story centres on teenager Lena, a 'caster' who can use magic and will either be claimed for the Light or the Dark on her 16th birthday.

Alice Englert and Alden Ehrenreich were speaking to Newsbeat's Natalie Jamieson.

Beautiful Creatures is released in the UK on 13 February.
