Jessica Chastain and Mark Strong have defended Oscar nominated film Zero Dark Thirty against accusations that it glorifies the use of torture.

Chastain says the criticism is "very hurtful" for director Kathryn Bigelow and that the film does not take a viewpoint on the issue.

Chastain plays the role of CIA agent Maya, who spends almost 10 years tracking down al-Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden.
