NME nominations for Haim, The Rolling Stones and Alt-J

Alt-J are nominated for both best new band and worst band at the NME Awards
This year's NME Awards shortlist has been announced, with Alt-J, Haim and Frank Ocean all receiving nominations.
Already voted the winner of the BBC Sound of 2013, Haim are up for four awards; best new band, best track, best music video and best Twitter.
Alt-J also been nominated for best new band and best album, but have also been shortlisted for worst band.
Also in this category are Ed Sheeran, One Direction, Mumford & Sons, Muse and Justin Bieber.
The Rolling Stones have also picked up four nominations for best live band, best book, music moment of the year and best music film.
"It's very nice to be nominated. When I first heard it was four things, I thought, 'Ooh, blimey! That's very nice'," said singer Mick Jagger.
"And it's not a journalists-only thing, it's not a coterie of closely-knit people choosing."
The Rolling Stones picked up four nominations including best live band
Picking up nominations for the best television show are Breaking Bad, Sherlock, Doctor Who, Fresh Meat, The Thick of It and Noel Fielding's Luxury Comedy.
Having recently returned with new material, David Bowie has received a nod as hero of the year. Bradley Wiggins, Pussy Riot, Barack Obama, Frank Ocean and Dave Grohl all join him on the shortlist.
Meanwhile villains of the year include David Cameron, Psy and Harry Styles.
The NME Awards 2013 will be held on Wednesday 27 February at a new home at The Troxy in east London.
In the run up to the event, NME Awards Shows will take place across London featuring artists including Hurts, Tribes, The Cribs and Everything Everything.
Haim also have four nominations including best Twitter and best music video
