Tom Odell Tom Odell was named 2013's Brits critics' choice winner

Brit award winner Tom Odell's announced details of his debut album.

The 22-year-old will release Long Way Down on 15 April.

He's already been named the Brits Critics' Choice winner for 2013, becoming the first male to win the award.

He follows in the footsteps of Adele, Jessie J and Emeli Sande. Odell was shortlisted against AlunaGeorge and Laura Mvula and also made the BBC's Sound of 2013 longlist.

His song Can't Pretend has been one of Fearne Cotton's Big Things and he's due to release a new single, Hold Me, in April.

The awards take place on 20 February at London's O2 Arena, with James Corden returning as host.

Speaking about his new album, Tom Odell said: "I hope the album feels human and real and that there are some flaws - because the flaws help make it what it is."

Odell was signed in 2012 by Lily Rose Cooper to her label, In The Name Of (ITNO).
