Detroit rapper Angel Haze, who finished third in the BBC's Sound of 2013 list, has postponed her UK tour this February to finish her debut album.

The dates will now take place in May.

"I'm sorry to have to reschedule the tour, but as you all know, I'm a perfectionist," the 22-year-old said in a statement.

"I feel it's only right to spend more time crafting this album before doing anything else. You guys truly deserve the best with no exceptions."

Angel Haze, whose real name is Raykeea Wilson, released two mixtapes online in 2011 - Reservation and Classick.

She also appears on Rudimental track Hell Could Freeze, which is from their debut album out next month.

The US rapper says she is hoping to work with the likes of Jason Mraz, Frank Ocean, The Weeknd and Adele's producer Paul Epworth.

The rescheduled tour dates are as follows:

London Scala - 7 May

Brighton Concorde 2 - 8

Birmingham Library - 10

Manchester Ruby Lounge - 11

Glasgow O2 ABC2 - 12
