Justin Timberlake has hinted that he is to make a musical comeback this year.

The Grammy-winner has posted a video on his website showing him walking into a studio.

He then puts on headphones and says "I'm ready."

It's been more than six years since Timberlake released his last album, FutureSex/LoveSounds. The 2006 album spawned singles such as What Goes Around and Lovestoned with both songs winning the singer Grammy Awards.

In the video on his website, Timberlake is also heard saying that he obsesses over his music and doesn't want to put music out that he doesn't love and that you have to wait for music you love.

Despite his musical hiatus, the 31-year-old has appeared in several movies such as The Social Network, Bad Teacher and Friends With Benefits.

In 2012, he married actress Jessica Biel in Italy.

In a statement the couple said: "It's great to be married, the ceremony was beautiful and it was so special to be surrounded by our family and friends."
