The makers of Britain's Got Talent are offering a £10,000 prize to anyone who can help find a winner for the show's next series.
Viewers are being urged to tell producers about a performer they have seen in person or on the internet.
If that act goes on to win the competition, the scout will be given £10,000.
Open auditions for the ITV talent show have been taking place since October in cities across the UK.
People have until the end of January to submit videos of the acts they have spotted.
A Britain's Got Talent spokesman said: "The series wants to feature the very best talent Britain has to offer and Star Scouts is an exciting new initiative giving members of the public the chance to help us find the stars of the future."
Ashleigh and Pudsey won the last series of the show
The programme returns in Spring 2013 and is again likely to be up against BBC One show The Voice in a battle for viewers.
An average of 11.4 million people watched dancing dog act Ashleigh and Pudsey win the 2012 final, compared to just over seven million who saw Leanne Mitchell win The Voice three weeks later.
Simon Cowell will again be joined by singer Alesha Dixon, comedian and author David Walliams and actress Amanda Holden for the new series of Britain's Got Talent.
And & Dec are also returning to present the show.
