Florence and the Machine were one of the 2012 headliners
Isle of Wight's Bestival has announced a nautical fancy dress theme for 2013.
The festival encourages fans to create their own costumes, with the latest choice giving revellers a range of sea-based options to experiment with.
As well as sailors and mermaids, organiser and Radio 1 DJ Rob da Bank said: "Think deckhands, anchors, beach parties, Moby Dick, tattooed ladies, Titanic."
Bestival takes place on 5-8 September 2013 at Robin Hill Country Park.
Previous themes have included wildlife, fantasy, space and rock stars, pop stars and divas.
In 2008, the festival also had another sea-based theme, 30,000 Freaks Under the Sea.
Next year's event is the 10th Bestival and the first acts are likely to be announced in the new year.
Last year's performers included the likes of Florence and the Machine, The xx, Two Door Cinema Club, Azealia Banks and Friendly Fires.
Bestival also recorded a first in 2012 by becoming the first festival to be streamed live on YouTube.
