Ed Sheeran: College not best way into music business

Ed Sheeran says going to college or university to study a music-related course isn't the best way into the industry.

He says the "main thing which counts within the music industry is experience".

It's after the latest figures show the number of 16 to 24-year-olds out of work is now under a million for the first time in a year.

Ed Sheeran was speaking to Newsbeat's music reporter Greg Cochrane.
