Strictly Come Dancing's Aliona Vilani could be set to return to the show in a couple of weeks.

The dancer was paired with Johnny Ball but fractured her ankle in training at the end of September.

Writing on Twitter, Aliona said: "So after evaluating my MRI the doctor said I'll be able to go back to boogying in 2 weeks time! #fastrecovery."

Lithuanian dancer Iveta Lukosiute, 32, danced with Johnny Ball during Saturday's first live show.

The pair were awarded the second lowest score of the night, picking up 17 points for their cha-cha-cha performed to The Beatles' Drive My Car.

Iveta Lukosiute has previously appeared on US show, So You Think You Can Dance.

During her recovery Aliona Vilani, 28, has posted pictures of her injured leg on Twitter and thanked fans for their messages of support.

The Russian-born dancer won the competition with McFly's Harry Judd in 2011.
