JK Rowling says next book will be for children

Author JK Rowling has promised fans that her next published book will be for children.
The Harry Potter writer was talking to an audience at the Cheltenham Literature Festival.
"I think probably the next thing I write, or the next thing I publish, will be for children," she said.
She told fans that she had a "number of ideas on my laptop", but wouldn't reveal the details about what she had been working on.

The award winner also said that the book would be for "younger children than the Harry Potter series".
It has been 15 years since the author has spoken to fans at the festival.
The star was publicising her latest novel, the first she has written for adults, called The Casual Vacancy.
It was released at the end of last month and revolves around a by-election to find a parish councillor in the imaginary town of Pagford after Barry Fairbrother dies.
She read a passage from the book and Rowling also accepted a bunch of flowers and a letter from a fan.
"I know what my next book for adults will be," she said. "I have a number for children I'm working on."
While taking questions from fans, she also revealed to the crowd at Cheltenham Racecourse that she made up bedtime stories for her three children.
"They are tailored very much for my children," she said. "So don't expect to see those being published any time soon."
Rowling also said she hadn't read the Fifty Shades series but did recommend one to readers if, "you are that way inclined".
