Simon Bird says that the quality of the script will decide whether an Inbetweeners sequel gets made.

The first film made £45 million at the box office despite a production budget of just £3.5 million and was released in the US.

Bird returns to the small screen in the Bafta-nominated comedy Friday Night Dinner with co-star Tom Rosenthal.

The second series of Friday Night Dinner begins on 7 October on Channel 4.
