Ellie Goulding says she understands the reasons why Mumford & Sons have had such huge success in the US.

This week the London band scored the fastest-selling album of the year so far in the US with Babel, shifting 600,000 copies.

Ellie, who's had her own success in America this year, said: "I'm friends with them and I'm really proud of them."

She was speaking to Radio 1 Newsbeat's music reporter Greg Cochrane.
