London trio The xx say they'd like to move into writing songs for big pop acts.

The band's bassist Oliver Sim says their "dream" collaboration would be with US star Beyonce.

The trio release their second album Coexist on 10 September. It's the follow-up to their Mercury Prize-winning self-titled debut.

Oliver Sim and Romy Madley-Croft from the band have been talking to Newsbeat's music reporter Greg Cochrane.
