Kings of Leon bassist Jared Followill has confirmed the band is preparing to start work on their sixth album.
Speaking to Zane Lowe on Radio 1 the 25-year-old said things were starting to happen.
"We've been meeting with producers every day so we're starting to get the ball rolling on album six." he said.
"I don't know what I can say, but we're definitely planning on starting the record some point in the near future."
The band's last album, Come Around Sundown, was released in the UK in October 2010 and won a Grammy Music Award for record of the year.
Breaking upIn August last year Kings of Leon denied they were breaking up after cancelling two months of gigs on their US tour.
They failed to finish a concert in Dallas after front man Caleb Followill, who denied being drunk, left the stage with three songs remaining.
Jared Followill from Kings of LeonEven doing the side project got my creative juices flowing again and just doing something completely different, I feel like it can bring more creativity to our band
In June this year Caleb's wife, the Victoria's Secret model Lily Aldridge, gave birth to the couple's first child.
During his break from the band, Jared said he'd teamed up with Nick Brown from the US rock band Mona.
The pair have been working together under the name Smoke and Jackal.
He said: "Even doing the side project got my creative juices flowing again and just doing something completely different, I feel like it can bring more creativity to our band."
He said his brother had also been working on their new album.
"Caleb has been writing a lot, and yeah, I think it's going to go really well."
