Rapper 50 Cent 'fine' after car crash in New York

50 Cent 50 Cent is now out of hospital after being treated for minor back and neck injuries

Rapper 50 Cent is "doing fine" after being involved in car crash in New York on Tuesday morning.

The 36-year-old posted pictures of himself on a stretcher and neck brace being taken to hospital on his website, Thisis50.com.

A representative for the Grammy Award-winning singer says he was released from hospital yesterday (Tuesday 26 June).

His driver, Bruce Miller has also been treated and released.

There are reports that 50 Cent's SUV was hit in the rear by a truck along the Long Island Freeway in New York.

In a statement, a spokesperson for 50 Cent, who's real name is Curtis Jackson, said: "Curtis 50 Cent Jackson was involved in a car accident in New York early Tuesday morning.

"He was taken to New York Hospital Queens where he was treated for minor neck and back injuries. He was released this morning and is doing fine."

50 Cent is set to release his new album Black Magic this summer.
