The Voice runner-up Tyler James says he is "gutted" that the show's live tour has been cancelled.
The 11 gigs in September were due to feature all eight finalists, but it was announced this week that they have been pulled because of poor ticket sales.
Thirty-year-old Tyler James says he was told in a phone call that the full UK tour wouldn't be going ahead.
Tyler JamesNo-one has really explained the reason to me. Maybe they oversold it and thought it was going to do better than it would do. It's a shame.
"I was really looking forward to it. There are certain friends that I made on that show," he said.
"We lived in a strange bubble together and became very close, so I was looking forward to going out there with them.
"The amount of people who spoke to me on Twitter who had been looking forward to it, I'm really gutted for them too.

'Still grateful'Tyler is now recording an album and plans to record songs with will.i.am, his coach on the show.
The Voice was won by 28-year-old Leanne Mitchell, from Lowestoft in Suffolk.

The BBC One show was criticised for losing millions of viewers after a strong start.
Tyler James says he doesn't know what went wrong.
He said: "All I can say is that if you're in that show, it's not something you pay any attention to.
"I think one of the worst weeks was something like five million (viewers). I'm still grateful for the opportunity to perform in front of five million people."
Anyone who bought a ticket for the Voice live tour should be able to get a refund.
