Russell Brand not worried about being typecast in films

Russell Brand says he is not worried about being typecast as an actor and says there are more important things in the world to focus on.

The actor who plays Lonny in new film Rock of Ages also said he wanted to give his character a Birmingham accent but didn't do any preparation for the role.

The film also stars Tom Cruise, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Alec Baldwin and is based on a hit musical that uses classic rock songs in the story.

The comedian was talking to Newsbeat's entertainment reporter Chi Chi Izundu.
