Axl Rose Guns N' Roses recently completed a UK arena tour

A woman has been arrested by police investigating the theft of jewellery belonging to Guns N' Roses front man Axl Rose.

The singer had three gold and diamond necklaces worth $200,000 (£130,000) taken at a private party in Paris on Tuesday (5 June).

It's thought the woman was arrested after she returned the items to one of the city's central police stations.

Axl's band had performed in Paris' Bercy arena earlier this week.

It is not believed that the front man was wearing the jewellery when it went missing.

The band recently completed a short UK tour, performing shows in Nottingham, Liverpool, Newcastle, Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester and London.

Their next gig is scheduled to be in Monchengladbach, Germany, on Friday 8 June.

In April Rose declined his entry into the Cleveland Rock and Roll Hall of Fame saying that he didn't feel wanted or respected.

Former band members including Slash, Steven Adler, Izzy Stradlin, Duff McKagan and Matt Sorum did turn up and Guns N' Roses were inducted.
