Family Guy star Alex Borstein says that there are plans to make a feature-length version of the animated comedy.

The actress, who voices Lois Griffin, told Newsbeat's entertainment reporter Natalie Jamieson that the major obstacle standing in the way of the film is the cast and crew finding the time to complete the project.

She also said that she and series creator Seth MacFarlane were eager to perform a live musical version of the show in the UK.

Family Guy premieres every Thursday on the FX channel at 9pm.
