The Killers say "a light is missing" after the death of their sax player Thomas Marth
Rock band The Killers have confirmed that their saxophone player has been found dead.
Clark County Coroner's Office has confirmed to Newsbeat that Thomas Marth's body was found in the Las Vegas area.
A coroner has ruled his death on Monday as a suicide. The band issued a statement about his passing on their Twitter page on Tuesday.
"Last night we lost our friend Thomas Marth," it said.
"Our prayers are with his family. There's a light missing in Las Vegas tonight. Travel well, Tommy."
The 33-year-old played the saxophone on the band's last two albums, Sam's Town and Day and Age.
He also performed with the band during their 2008-2009 global tour.
He leaves behind siblings and his parents.
