Angry Birds is named best gaming app at award ceremony

Angry Birds has been named best game at an event honouring smartphone and tablet computer apps.
The popular game took the title for the second year running at the Appys award ceremony in London.
The top prize went to Sky Sports News, which was voted app of the year by a panel of judges.
It also took the prize in the sport category for a second year with the BBC taking the award for best news and weather application.
Dermot O'Leary hosted the event which rewards apps that demonstrate innovation and development.
YouTube was a double winner, picking up prizes for music as well as celebrity/entertainment.
Facebook was rewarded as the top social and messaging tool while eBay won the fashion and shopping title.
Short lists were drawn up by industry experts and the winners chosen by public vote.

Best money saving: Groupon
Best sport: Sky Sports News

Best health & well-being: NHS Direct
Best music: YouTube
Best travel: Google Maps
