Nicki Minaj Nicki Minaj has lost more than nine million followers since leaving Twitter

Nicki Minaj has reactivated her Twitter account despite a row over leaked tracks.

The rapper has returned to the social networking site but has not posted anything since 15 April.

She now has fewer than two million followers, dropping from 11 million in just over a week.

The 29-year-old left after one fan shared links to a site where people could illegally listen to snippets from her new album.

Minaj blocked the user then said she was deleting her account, posting: "Don't cry for me Argentina."

But her fans have now welcomed her back.

The US star's second album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded is at number three in the official UK album chart.

Her single Starships is at number eight.
