Last year's X Factor final was the most-watched show of 2011
Auditions for this year's X Factor have opened up on Facebook.
Potential acts have until 8 May to upload a video performance via the Audition tab on the show's page on the social networking site.
The pick of the bunch will be asked to perform in person and possibly sing in front of The X Factor judges.
Live auditions in cities across the UK have now finished but producers say they're keen to "cast our net as wide as possible to find the best talent".
In a first for the series, singers and groups can now apply even if they have a management deal, or have had one in the past.
Only over-16s are allowed to audition for the ITV1 show, which returns to screens at the end of the year.
