Nicki Minaj has deleted her Twitter account after a row with a fan who posted snippets of her album online.

The rapper got angry with one follower who tweeted links to sites where people could illegally listen to her tracks.

She blocked the user then said she was deleting her account, posting: "Don't cry for me Argentina. Like seriously, only so much a person can take."

The 29-year-old now has 30 days to re-activate the account or she will lose her profile and 11 million followers.

The US star's second album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded was released on 3 April and is at number two in the official UK album chart.

Her single Starships is at number five.

Minaj has announced a string of UK live dates in June - taking in London, Birmingham and Manchester - and has confirmed appearances at T In The Park, V Festival and Wireless.

She has previously toured with Lil Wayne and Lady Gaga in the US.
