Florence and the Machine are to headline their first festival in America this August.
The British band, fronted by Florence Welch, is one of a number of bands announced for Chicago's annual Lollapalooza event.
The line-up also includes Red Hot Chili Peppers, Black Sabbath, The Black Keys, Jack White and At The Drive-In.
The festival takes place in Grant Park between 3-5 August and is run by Jane's Addiction lead singer Perry Farrell.
He said: "Every year it's kind of a nail biter putting a line-up together.
"There were moments when I looked at it and I was beside myself. I didn't know what to do."
The bill includes a diverse range of international acts such as Bloc Party, Sigur Ros, Franz Ferdinand, The Afghan Whigs, The Shins, Band of Skulls and Calvin Harris.
This year also sees dance music given prominence with Justice and Avicii headlining the main stage.
Former headliners at Lollapalooza have included Lady Gaga, Green Day, Eminem and Coldplay.
This is the festival's eighth year in Chicago with around 270,000 people expected over the three-day event.
