Tom Hiddleston says The Avengers is a 'monumental' film

British actor Tom Hiddleston says the forthcoming superhero film The Avengers is "absolutely monumental".

Hiddleston is reprising his role as the villainous Loki in the film that will bring together several heroes from the Marvel universe including Thor, Iron Man and Captain America.

The actor was named best male newcomer at the Empire Film Awards and has recently starred in the Oscar nominated Warhorse.
