Lady Gaga's parents thought she had a "screw loose" after seeing her sing
Lady Gaga's mother says she thought she "had a screw loose" after seeing her daughter's first performance.
Cynthia Germanotta made the comments to Oprah Winfrey during an interview in the star's childhood home in New York.
Germanotta said when she watched her daughter perform at a local pub in a bikini, lighting hair spray on fire, her husband said: "I think she has a screw loose."
The singer also revealed she would be taking a break from interviews.
The 25-year-old said: "I do not intend to speak to anyone for a very long time."
Lady Gaga is gearing up for her Born This Way Ball world tour which kicks off in southeast Asia and Australia later this year.
