Foo Fighters, Florence and the Machine were double winners at the NME awards [29 February]. Marina from Marina and the Diamonds turned up looking all girly in pink to co-present the award for best British band to Kasabian.

Kasabian singer Tom Meighan dedicated their best British band award to Monkees singer Davy Jones who had died of a heart attack earlier that day.

Florence and the Machine picked up two awards, best solo act and best track for Shake it. "Thank you so much. This is amazing. I can't quite believe it," said Florence Welch after collecting her second award.

The Vaccines won best new band. Matt Bellamy wasn't at the awards to collect hero of the year. His band Muse also picked the most dedicated fan award.

The Horrors collect the best album award for Skying. Justin Bieber wasn't there to accept his two loser awards for villain of the year and worst album for Under the Mistletoe. One Direction got the worst band award.

Adam Anderson and Theo Hutchcraft from Hurts turned up to the awards to collect best video for Sunday. Friendly Fires won best album artwork for Pala. Lady Gaga didn't turn up but she picked up best band blog.

Katy B is photographed with the best dancefloor anthem award. The greatest music moment went to Stone Roses reuniting. The best re-issue award went to The Smiths for Complete Re-issues.

Zawe Ashton collects the best TV show award for Fresh Meat on stage. The best film award went to Submarine, which came out last year. The soundtrack was by the Arctic Monkeys. Noel Fielding won best book.

Jarvis Cocker performs on stage during the ceremony. Pulp were presented with an outstanding contribution to music award before performing Mis-Shapes.

Michael Eavis, who is photographed in denim hot pants and with daughter Emily, picked up the award for best festival at the 2012 awards.

Noel Gallagher collects the godlike genius award. The singer closed the show with with a mix of classic Oasis tracks and songs from his High Flying Birds album.
