Snow Patrol first played T in the Park as Polar Bear in 1997
Snow Patrol and Kasabian join The Stones Roses as main stage headliners this year's T in the Park festival.
Also playing will be Tinie Tempah, David Guetta, Jessie J, Example, Calvin Harris and Nicki Minaj.
This year's event will take place in Balado, Kinross-shire, between 6 and 8 July.
Rizzle Kicks, Emeli Sande, Skrillex, The Darkness, Elbow, Mastodon, Swedish House Mafia and Labrinth have also been added.
As previously announced, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, Florence and the Machine, The Maccabees, The Vaccines and Maverick Sabre will perform as well.
American star Nicki Minaj will also perform on the Sunday of the festival.
Speaking to Fearne Cotton's show on Radio 1, Snow Patrol singer Gary Lightbody said the band were excited about their appearance.
"T in the Park is one of the best crowds to play to on the planet," he said. "It really is so much fun.
"I think we've done it more than any other band. I think it's us and Biffy [Clyro] tied for the band that have done it the most.
"It's great to be back."
Kasabian's front man Tom Meighan added: "It's always been one of our favourite UK festivals and after having such a blast in 2010, we can't wait to do it all over again."
More artistsGeoff Ellis, T in the Parks festival director, said: "It's really important to us that we listen to the fans and make every effort to book the bands they tell us they want to see.
"It's one of the strongest launches we've had and it's a very diverse line-up.

"It's important to have something for everyone because we're a very small country, and to sell 85,000 tickets has us on a par with the biggest festivals worldwide.
"If we were too one-dimensional we wouldn't be selling 85,000 tickets but if you're not a fan of pop you don't need to go and see any pop acts.
"If you're not a fan of dance music you can go and see guitar bands.
"I think because we have so many stages it does give us the ability to have lots of different bands playing over the weekend."
As revealed in November 2011, the Stone Roses will headline the main stage at the Scottish festival as part of their 2012 comeback.
Last October, the classic Stone Roses line-up announced they were reforming 16 years after they last appeared on stage together.
Tickets for this year's T in the Park go on general sale at 9am on Wednesday 29 February.
Last year's T in the Park saw performances from Arctic Monkeys, Coldplay, The Strokes, Foo Fighters and Beyonce.
BBC Radio 1 will be at the festival broadcasting highlights and live music.
