Marion "Suge" Knight Marion "Suge" Knight launched the careers of Snoop Dogg and Tupac

Death Row Records co-founder Marion "Suge" Knight has been arrested after he was found with cannabis in his car.

He was stopped by police for a driving offence in Las Vegas after being spotted changing lanes and making a turn without signalling properly.

Knight was found with less than an ounce of marijuana and was released from jail on $2,600 (£1,646) bail.

The former music mogul, 46, helped launch the careers of rappers like Snoop Dogg and Tupac Shakur in the 90s.

Police say a records check turned up three outstanding Nevada traffic warrants, including one for a driving on a suspended out-of-state licence.

In recent years his career has been overshadowed by various run-ins with the law.

In May 2010, he was arrested in Los Angeles on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.

In February 2009, Knight was treated for facial injuries that he suffered in a fight at a hotel in Scottsdale, Arizona.

He was also arrested in August 2008 in Las Vegas on drug and assault charges after he was accused of punching his girlfriend and pulling a knife on her during an argument outside a strip club.
