The Prodigy have been announced as the final headliners of next year's Download Festival at Donington Park.

The dance act will close the Friday night of the event on 8 June.

Metallica and a re-formed Black Sabbath were announced as the other two headliners last week with tickets on sale from 9am on Friday 18 November.

The Prodigy last performed at the Download Festival in 2009. Last year's headliners were Def Leppard, System Of A Down and Linkin Park.

Metallica will be performing their 1991 "black" album, which featured tracks like Enter Sandman and The Unforgiven, in its entirety to coincide with the 21st anniversary of its release.

The band haven't performed at Download since 2006.

Meanwhile, Black Sabbath are getting back together with lead singer Ozzy Osbourne to play the festival.

Andy Copping, of festival organisers Live Nation, said: "The reunion of the original line-up of Black Sabbath has been one of the most talked-about stories of the year.

"I am thrilled that the band will return to Donington Park next year to help us mark 10 years of the Download Festival."
