Friendly Fires have announced details of rescheduled tour dates after being forced to cancel some shows because of illness.

The band had to postpone shows in Southampton, Nottingham, Newcastle, Manchester because front man Ed Macfarlane has laryngitis.

A further show in Glasgow, which was due to go ahead on Friday, 18 November, has now also been postponed.

All tickets bought for the original shows will be valid for the new dates.

Friendly Fires will now play the dates in December, beginning at O2 Apollo Manchester on 15 December and finishing at O2 ABC Glasgow on 20 December.

The group are hoping Ed Macfarlane will be better for Saturday (19 November) night's performance at the O2 Academy Leeds, but ticket holders are being advised to check first either on the Friendly Fires website or with ticket sellers.

Friendly Fires rescheduled dates are as follows:

O2 Apollo Manchester - 15 December

Southampton Guildhall - 16

O2 Academy Newcastle - 18

Nottingham Rock City - 19
