Virtual mirror set to hit clothes shops

Over the last five years fewer people have been going shopping, with figures from research group Experian suggesting footfall - used to measure the amount of people going in store - has decreased.

In response, high street stores are experimenting with new technology which they hope will boost sales and change the way we shop.

One initiative is the virtual mirror, which will launch in UK stores next year and allows people to see what they look like in clothes without trying them on.
