In pictures: Stars out for GQ Men of the Year Awards

Matt Smith, Tinie Tempah and Emma Watson are all winners at this year's GQ Men of the Year Awards held at London's Royal Opera House.
Doctor Who actor Matt Smith won the most stylish man award at this year's GQ awards. He was handed his prize by Luther star Idris Elba. Other winners included Rob Brydon (Comedian) and Hugh Laurie (Music).
Rapper Tinie Tempah won best solo artist at this year's event, held at London's Royal Opera House. He was handed his prize by Kylie Minogue. The awards are voted for by staff at GQ magazine.
Harry Potter actress and model Emma Watson was there to present the inspiration of the year award to Mario Testino. The fashion photographer snapped Princess Diana before her death and has taken pictures of numerous celebrities.
David Walliams' wife, Danish model Lara Stone, won woman of the year and was given her gong by comedian Jimmy Carr. Her husband is swimming the Thames raising money for the Big Splash Challenge for Sport Relief.
Singer John Legend was also at the event with girlfriend Christine Teigen. "We have to look good but I think it's easier for guys to look good. We're pretty simple, like for this just wear a tux that fits and that's 80% of the battle."
Former X Factor winners Leona Lewis and Alexandra Burke were also at the event. Leona Lewis says men don't need as much time to get ready: "[They should take] no longer than half the time it takes for me to get ready."
Hollywood actress Charlize Theron handed A-Team and Hangover actor Bradley Cooper his award in the international man category. Other winners included The Armed Forces (Help for Heroes) and Lord Sebastian Coe (Man of Next Year).
Benedict Cumberbatch won the best actor award. He said: "It's difficult sometimes because you struggle to get a moment to breathe. I'm in a very lucky position. I've worked quite hard in order to get here, and I'm really enjoying it."
The Edge, Adam Clayton and Bono from U2 attended the ceremony at the Royal Opera House. They picked up the prize for best band. Duran Duran were handed this year's lifetime achievement award.
Other celebrities who turned out for the red carpet event included Strictly Come Dancing contestant Holly Valance, model Abi Clancy and Piranha actress Kelly Brook.
Rolling Stones guitarist and Pirates of the Caribbean actor Keith Richards won the award for writer of the year. He recently penned a full on account of his life as a hellraiser in his autobiography.
The Saturdays were on hand to add some glamour to the evening. One Direction from last year's X Factor were also at the event. Heston Blumenthal won the best chef award and Bill Nighy was given the editor's special gong.
