James Morrison announces five-date UK tour for November

Singer James Morrison has announced new UK tour dates.

He will be performing live shows throughout November after the release of his new album, The Awakening.

The album, which will be the star's third record, will be released on 26 September and is produced by ex-Suede guitarist Bernard Butler.

On his website the Broken Strings singer wrote: "In the words of good ol' Willie Nelson, 'I just can't wait to get on the road again'!"

The tour will kick off in Wolverhampton before dates in Liverpool, Edinburgh, Bath and London.

James Morrison's previous two albums sold more than 4.5 million copies worldwide.

The tour dates are as follows:

Wulfrun Hall, Wolverhampton - 2 November

Liverpool O2 Academy - 3

Edinburgh Picture House - 4

Bath Pavilion - 6

London Shepherds Bush Empire - 7

Tickets go on general sale from 2 September.
