Bjork hasn't released new material since her last album, Volta, in 2007
Icelandic singer Bjork has been announced as the Sunday night headliner at this year's Bestival on the Isle of Wight.
It will be the 45-year-old's only outdoor concert of the year.
She joins the likes of Pendulum, Primal Scream and The Cure at Bestival on 11 September at Robin Hill Country Park.
"I honestly can't believe Bjork is coming to Bestival. The grand finale to Bestival 2011 just got better," said organiser and Radio 1 DJ Rob da Bank.
"Without a doubt one of the most iconic musicians of the last century, Bjork is always one step ahead of the pack with her music and innovations and the new Biophilia show is jam-packed full of technology, great interpretations of her amazing catalogue of songs and some brand new corkers."
Other acts confirmed for Bestival include Public Enemy, Robyn, Fatboy Slim, Katy B, Professor Green, Wretch 32 and Ed Sheeran.
Bestival was voted best festival at last year's UK festival awards and this year's theme is Rock Stars, Pop Stars and Divas.
Bjork opened her world tour in Manchester on Thursday night with five more dates in the city between 3-16 July.
It's in support of her seventh studio album Biophilia, which is out later this year, and first single Crystalline.
The release is part of what Bjork is calling a multi-media project that will also includes apps, a new website, custom-made musical instruments and educational workshops.
