Adele is set to spend her 13th week at number one in the UK's album chart, according to the official midweek update.

The singer's album 21 was only knocked off the top spot for one week, by Foo Fighters, since its release in January.

The only solo artist to have spent longer at number one is Phil Collins with But Seriously in 1989.

Meanwhile, the highest new entry in the UK's official albums midweek chart is from The Wombats.

The Liverpool band's second album This Modern Glitch is the follow-up to their 2007 debut.

In the midweek singles chart LMFAO's Party Rock Album looks set to spend a third week at number one.

There are currently new entries from Nero with Guilt and Beyonce Run The World (Girls) in the top 10.
