Cheryl Cole and Emma Watson out for Elle Style awards

Cheryl Cole, Emma Watson and Blake Lively all picked up prizes at this year's Elle Style Awards.

Cheryl Cole was the star turn at this year's Elle Style Awards, held this year at London's Grand Connaught rooms. The X Factor judge, 27, won the best music award wearing a red Alexander McQueen gown.
Emma Watson
Harry Potter actress Emma Watson was at the ceremony to pick up her style icon award. The 20-year-old said she doesn't feel like a role model: "It feels amazing. Fashion is something that I love. I try not to think about it too much."
Blake Lively
Actress Blake Lively, 23, received the best TV star award for her role in American series Gossip Girl. Host Alexa Chung admitted she was nervous about presenting the awards, even though it was her third time.
Karen Gillan
Doctor Who actress Karen Gillan, 23, wore shorts to the ceremony. Fashion guru and film-maker Tom Ford was named top international designer with 28-year-old Christopher Kane named best British designer.
Ellie Goulding
Singer Ellie Goulding, 24, was also at the event. The best actress prize went to Natalie Portman, who won the same title at the Baftas. The US star couldn't get to the awards because she's heavily pregnant.
Coco Rocha, Minnie Driver, Stephen Dorff and Noomi Rapace
Also among the winners were Coco Rocha (left - best model), Stephen Dorff (pictured centre with Minnie Driver - best actor) and The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo actress Noomi Rapace (right - next breakthrough talent).
Fearne Cotton, Corinne Bailey Rae and Jo Whiley
Radio 1 DJ Fearne Cotton, 29, was at the ceremony alongside singer Corinne Bailey Rae and Jo Whiley. Another winner was former supermodel Helena Christensen who got the outstanding contribution to fashion prize.
Thandie Newton, Lisa Snowdon and Eliza Doolittle
Hollywood actress Thandie Newton, former model and radio DJ Lisa Snowdon and 22-year-old Pack Up singer Eliza Doolittle walked the red carpet as well. At the awards, best jewellery designer went to Dominic Jones.
Jameela Jamil, Pixie Geldof and Jaime Winstone
TV presenter Jameela Jamil, Pixie Geldof and actress Jaime Winstone also turned up at the awards ceremony. Other winners were Meadham Kirchoff (Next young designer) and Emma Hill (Best accessory designer).
Geri Halliwell
Geri Halliwell wore a stripy dress with a pink clutch bag to the event. Sophie Ellis-Bextor and her husband said they were happy to be attending the ceremony on Valentine's Day, claiming they "couldn't get a table anywhere else".
