US R&B star Ne-Yo has rescheduled gigs in Glasgow, Liverpool and Newcastle to continue working on his new album.

The gigs, which were due to take place in late February and early March, will now happen in autumn 2011.

"With work on his fifth studio album going so well the American singer songwriter could not interrupt the creative process," a press statement said.

His gigs in Manchester and London will still go ahead.

The London shows at the O2 Arena will feature Chipmunk and US R&B star Trey Songz as support.

The statement also said the exact autumn dates were expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

It also confirmed that tickets bought for the original gigs would be valid for the rescheduled dates.
