Lady Gaga has made an unexpected appearance during a Newsbeat interview with the star's best friend and tour DJ, Lady Starlight.
The exclusive chat is her first interview for several months and took place minutes before she was due on stage at London's O2 arena.
The 24-year-old told Newsbeat music reporter Greg Cochrane that her upcoming album, Born This Way, is her "most innovative" yet and features "anthemic style melodies with really sledge-hammering dance beats."
She said the record is going through "fine tuning" and confirmed a new single would be released in February 2011.
