Two Newsbeat listeners, Neil and Melanie, have been given a sneak preview of Nintendo's new hand-held console the 3DS.

It'll be going up against other products from big rivals this autumn: Playstation's Move and Xbox's Kinect motion controllers.

No details on price yet or a specific release date.

All bosses would say is there's still work to be done on it, that it'll hit the shops sometime before March 2011 and has around 70 games currently being developed.

Company bosses wouldn't let us film any game footage.
