The launch of one of the most hotly anticipated gadgets of the year has finally arrived.

If you believe the hype, Apple's iPad is going to be a game changer for tablet PCs.

But it's coming into a market already full of big companies betting big money that their device is better.

Newsbeat's got two listeners to check out the iPad, and some of its competitors, to tell us what they think.

Cameron Rawson is a 17-year-old student from Doncaster and Jamie Powis, who's 22, is a community worker from Wolverhampton.

The three devices they're looking at are:

Apple iPad - from £430.

Dell Streak - no price details yet, released in June.

Archos 9 - from £450.
