Helena Bonham Carter 'pleaded' for Alice In Wonderland role

With a row over its DVD release all sorted, Alice in Wonderland finally reaches cinemas this weekend (5 March).

The 3D film features all the classic characters, most of which are CGI.

The movie stars Tim Burton's partner Helena Bonham Carter as the bad Red Queen, who sports a giant head.
