Obama, and Rick Perry agree on Texas border security

US President Barack Obama and Republican Texas Governor Rick Perry have agreed on recommendations for improving security on the US-Mexico border.

While visiting the state, Mr Obama said Governor Perry's requests to increase the number of border patrol agents and reposition them "made sense".

But Mr Obama said the such action was held up by Congress' delay in approving his request for extra funding, challenging them to act.
